About BANDUA

Most money apps tell you where your money went. BANDUA works on a harder question: how much of it is actually yours to spend — after the bills that are coming, the taxes you'll owe, the money set aside for your goals and the buffer you never want to touch.

It turns that into a plan you can read at a glance: what's safe to spend until payday, how each goal is progressing and when you'll get there, what's coming over the next weeks and months, and what every recurring cost really costs in hours of your working life.

BANDUA borrows the language of strategy games — missions, a codex of what you've built — but every number is your own money. No points, no streaks, no fictional currency. Real life is the game; real financial progress is the reward.

BANDUA calculates. You decide. It doesn't judge purchases, predict the future or give investment advice: it shows consequences, calculated from your own data and assumptions.

BANDUA is in development and isn't open to the public yet.

Highlights

  1. Safe to Spend

What you can actually spend until payday — after upcoming bills, the tax reserve, your missions' plans and the buffer you set. Itemised, so you can always see why the number is what it is.

  2. Missions

Goals with a target and real contributions, the days each contribution brings you closer, and the arrival date your monthly amount implies.

  3. Money → time

Recurring costs and purchases translated into hours of your own working life, from your real net income and working hours.

  4. Plan

The free money ahead — today, in 7 days, 30 days and 3 months — after income, commitments, tax reserves and mission plans.

  5. Fixed costs & subscriptions

Every recurring payment on any schedule, with monthly and yearly equivalents, price history and its cost in working time.

  6. Taxes set aside

A tax reserve for Spain with versioned rules, estimates and what you actually paid — so tax money is never mistaken for spending money.

  7. Codex

A record of what you've built with real money — four pillars (security, stability, freedom, growth), milestones and personal records. No points, no streaks.

A balance isn't spending money

Say your bank shows €3,000. €600 is already promised to bills due this month, €400 belongs to the tax office, €500 is protected for a goal and €300 is the buffer you never want to touch.

What's genuinely free is €1,200 — and that is the number BANDUA puts first. Committed, protected and reserved money stays visible, but it's never presented as money to spend.

When everything is covered, BANDUA says so — nothing needs your attention — and what's left is yours to spend without guilt.

The Guardian

BANDUA's guardian comments on your month in the voice you choose — protective, analytical, deadpan, honest, unfiltered, or silent. It's direct and occasionally dry, never cheerful filler, and it never comments on you as a person.

It has one hard rule: it never states a financial consequence that isn't calculated from your own data. Every number in its lines comes from BANDUA's engine. It isn't an AI adviser, and it stays silent when there's nothing worth saying.

Strategy, not a game

Missions, a codex and progress you can see make planning something you want to come back to — but nothing is invented. There's no virtual currency, no experience points for tapping buttons, no streaks to protect and no comparison with anyone else.

BANDUA is designed to need less of your attention, not more. A good month can end with nothing to do at all.

On the roadmap

Where BANDUA is heading. Nothing here is available yet.

  1. Being built

    Decide

Model a choice before you make it — a purchase, extra money, a job offer — and see its effect on Safe to Spend, your emergency protection and each mission's arrival date, side by side. BANDUA shows the consequences; you choose.

  2. Being built

    Financial position

Your cash timeline ahead, its lowest point, how reliable your income is, and how long your money would last.

  3. Being built

    Your baseline

What a normal month looks like for you — explaining a month in plain terms, spotting recurring costs creeping up, and comparing today with your own past.

  4. Next

    Bank connections and import

Import from your bank (Revolut files and CAMT.053 statements first) and read-only connections through a regulated provider — with categorisation that learns, and recurring costs detected for you.

  5. Next

    Subscriptions that earn their place

Price increases, renewals, lifetime spend and time cost for each subscription — and a graveyard of the ones you cancelled, with what that saved.

  6. Next

    Payday and financial radar

A payday routine that sends money where you decided it goes, and a calendar of what's coming over 7 days, 30 days, a quarter and a year — bills, taxes, renewals and collisions between them.

  7. Later

    Strategies and rules

Strategies you choose — build, protect, recover — and rules that run on payday or at month end ("protect bills and taxes, send €300 to Japan, keep €300 as a buffer"), checked against your own history before you switch them on.

  8. Later

    Life scenarios

The same engine applied to bigger decisions — a new job or losing one, moving country, a year of study, going self-employed, a sabbatical — compared as alternative futures based on your own numbers and assumptions.
