Architecture
A multi-tenant SaaS foundation: a modular NestJS backend over PostgreSQL, and a web app composed from microfrontends — identity, overview, work, admin — that still feels like one product. Each product domain exposes a typed manifest to the shell.
One access model
Permissions, entitlements and project modules are combined in a single evaluator. Product code never checks plan names — it asks whether a capability is included, so repackaging plans means editing plan rows, not feature code.
Billing, honestly
Plans exist without prices. Billing is designed as a provider port with a Stripe adapter that only ever writes subscription rows; until it exists, plan changes are applied by an operator. There is no fake billing in the product.
